A funeral service for Evelyn Mae Boylan, 91 of Newark will be held Thursday April 19, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor Steven Osborne officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Boylan joined her husband, of 70 years, George E. Boylan in heaven on Sunday April 15, 2012. She was born June 10, 1920 in Newark to the late William Turner and Florence Marie (Gleckler) Lawson.

Mrs. Boylan was a lifetime member of St. John’s Evangelical & Reformed Church and taught Sunday School for over 50 years. She had been active with Freedom Years, Owen Corning Retirees and Zerger Hall. She had served as a Rural Mail Carrier. She enjoyed mushroom hunting, crocheting, tatting, basket making and was a wonderful cook.

She is survived by her children, Kathleen M. (James A.) Ross of Newark, Ronald W. (Suzanne) Boylan of Marysville; sister, Kathleen M. Pipes of Newark; grandchildren, Alicia Noblit of Cincinnati, Perry (Catherine) Boylan of Marysville, Samantha Wells of Newark, Jay (Megan) Bussey of Newark; great-grandchildren, Kylah Bussey, Ethan Boylan, Olivia Wells, Aubree Wells, Aaron Boylan, Jaylynn Bussey, Brandon Ross, Brittney Ross; many nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Owen Weaver.

Calling hours will be observed Wednesday April 18, 2012 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME, 1850 West Main Street, Newark.
