Elisabeth Snoke Stemm Snyder, 87 of Zanesville passed away Sunday, April 22, 2012 at Genesis Morrison House Hospice.       Betty was born December 6, 1924 in Zanesville to the late Carl E. and Elisabeth (Price) Snoke, and later lovingly raised by Carl and Marjorie Snoke.  A 1942 graduate of Lash High School, Betty had worked for 25 years for McGraw-Edison.  She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church for 75 years and for over 50 years a member of O.E.S. Chapter #485.  She will be fondly missed by family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.      Betty was a loving mother to Henry F. (Molly) Stemm, III. of Zanesville; grandmother to Beth Ann (Kevin) Curl; and great grandmother to Alaina and Aleigha Curl, all of Merritt Island, FL.      In addition to her parents and step-mother Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 22 years, Russell Snyder.      The family would like to extend thanks to the wonderful staff who cared for Betty at Cedar Hill Care Center and Morrison House Hospice.       At Betty’s wish, there will be no public calling hours or funeral service.      Vensil & Chute Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
